Graduate School of Health Care Siencies, Jikei Institute has set up a scholarship system and Tuition Installment Plan to provide support for ambitious students.

Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students

The aim of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students is to develop academic exchange between Japan and other countries and to promote mutual understanding and peace and friendship which raise the effectiveness of learning to a higher level. The scholarship will achieve these goals by providing financial study incentives to international students enrolled in Japanese graduate schools who are paying tuition by themselves and who have demonstrated excellent academic performance and possess an exemplary character and who are experiencing difficulty with their studies due to financial reasons.

International students who are paying tuition by themselves are those international students who are enrolled in universities or other schools in Japan and possess the resident status of Student (student visa) but are not Japanese government-sponsored international students or international students sponsored by the governments of other countries.

Payment Period
The scholarship is paid monthly for a period, not exceeding 12 months, from April to the following March as a general rule.
Payment Amount
Graduate School: Monthly Payment of 65,000 yen
Eligible Students

International students who are paying tuition by themselves who are enrolled in this school as regular students and who satisfy the following criteria are eligible for the scholarship.

  1. International students whose grades for the previous year exceed a certain level. The grades are required to exceed a figure which has been calculated using a formula based on standards set by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students.
  2. International students who receive an allowance or remittance of 90,000 yen or less each month. This does not include fees such as entrance or lesson fees.
  3. International students who can cooperate with progress investigations after the scholarship has been paid.
  4. International students who can cooperate with enrollment confirmation investigations each month.

Students will be informed how they can apply once they have been accepted to the school.
Tuition Installment Plan
Students who have difficulty paying tuition fees for each semester in full due to financial reasons can apply to pay tuition in installments. Under the installment plan, tuition is generally paid in two installments. One-on-one counseling will be provided, so please contact the General Affairs Department for more information.
